Federal Judge John Coughenour, who ruled President Trump's attempt to end birthright citizenship unconstitutional, told CBS's 60 Minutes he has never faced such vitriol and threats as he has from MAGA adherents. Coughenour, a Reagan-appointed judge, revealed the intense backlash followed his January ruling.

He recounted being confronted by armed deputies at his home on a false tip he murdered his wife, followed by a bomb threat. The judge received dozens if not hundreds of death threats, including a 'wanted' poster featuring his image and those of other judges. Coughenour stated the hostility towards the judiciary is unprecedented in his 44-year career, attributing it to political exploitation rather than judicial errors.
