Global Logistics & Fulfillment LLC, a 30-year-old Las Vegas-based shipping company, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to reorganize its business operations. The company, established in 1996, offers warehouse distribution and third-party logistics services through three West Coast locations in Las Vegas, San Diego, and Tijuana.

The bankruptcy filing comes amid what industry analysts call the Great Freight Recession, which has forced numerous trucking and logistics companies to seek bankruptcy protection since 2022. Long-haul truckload demand plummeted by 25% in the first half of 2025, with companies struggling against reduced shipping demand, lower freight rates, and rising costs of labor, fuel, and insurance. Freight companies filed 21 bankruptcy petitions in the third quarter of 2025 alone.

Global Logistics & Fulfillment listed assets between $100,000 and $500,000 against liabilities ranging from $1 million to $10 million. The company's largest unsecured creditors include CIF Sunpoint Vegas LLC, owed approximately $742,000, and TEC West Inc., owed about $111,000. Despite the challenging market conditions, some industry leaders like Doug Waggoner of Echo Global Logistics predict improvement in the trucking sector after the first quarter of 2026.
