A former Georgia teacher has resigned after being arrested for allegedly molesting a student. Danielle Weaver, 29, was taken into custody by the Lee County Sheriff's Office on February 18 and has since posted a $50,000 bond for her release.

Weaver, who taught ninth grade, faces charges of child molestation and sexual assault by a school administrator. The Lee County School System confirmed an ongoing investigation after receiving a tip to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on February 3.
