The FDA has issued an urgent recall of Rosabella-brand moringa powder capsules after seven people across seven states contracted salmonella. Three victims required hospitalization, with infections reported between November 2025 and January 2026. The trendy supplement marketed for energy and sleep support poses serious health risks to consumers nationwide.

The contaminated supplements, sold in white plastic bottles with green labels and 2027 expiration dates, were widely available online through platforms including Amazon, TikTok Shop, eBay, Shein, and Tryrosabella.com. This recall follows similar salmonella outbreaks linked to other popular supplements like Live it Up-brand Super Greens powder that sickened 45 people last year.

The FDA urges consumers to immediately discard or return the recalled products. Salmonella infections typically cause symptoms within 12 to 72 hours and result in approximately 1.35 million illnesses annually in the US. This latest incident highlights ongoing regulatory challenges in ensuring supplement safety despite FDA oversight.
