Burgerville is celebrating its 65th anniversary with special throwback pricing on March 10, offering an original cheeseburger for $3.65, regular fries for $1.65, and a 22-ounce fountain drink for $1.65 at all locations. The Pacific Northwest burger chain, founded by George Propstra in Vancouver, Washington, in 1961, is also giving customers collectible birthday stickers and loyalty sweepstakes entries through its app.

Propstra launched the business after taking over his father's creamery in 1956, which evolved from butter and egg sales to ice cream and eventually hamburgers with a secret sauce. Today, Burgerville operates 41 locations across Oregon and Southwest Washington, with recent openings in Salem, Bend, and Woodburn in 2025. The company recently appointed Kyle Welch as CEO.

The chain, which sources 75% of its menu from local farmers and producers, plans to feature throwback menu items throughout 2026 based on fan voting. The first throwback item, a Lime Frosty Shake, is available through early April. This anniversary celebration highlights Burgerville's long-standing presence in the Pacific Northwest fast-food market.
