An Arizona man faces two counts of first-degree felony murder and 58 other charges after a police helicopter crash killed a trooper and pilot during a shootout in Flagstaff. Terrell Storey, 50, allegedly fired at officers from multiple rooftops during a nearly two-hour standoff on Feb. 4.

Storey was captured around the same time as the crash, which killed Trooper Hunter Bennett, 28, and pilot Robert Skankey, 61. Authorities say Storey used a semiautomatic rifle during the confrontation that began with a domestic violence call. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash cause.

The indictment includes 60 criminal counts, with charges ranging from aggravated assault to burglary. Storey remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and is held on $5 million bond. The case highlights the dangers faced by law enforcement during high-risk operations.
