Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, CEO of Xero, discussed leadership insights during a June interview, reflecting on the company's resilience despite market challenges.

At the time, Xero's share price had fallen over 50% from the previous year, even as the company exceeded revenue estimates for its fiscal 2026 ending March 31. The decline was linked to the broader "SaaS Apocalypse" and investor concerns about a 2025 acquisition aimed at expanding in the U.S. market.

"The company is doing extraordinarily well," said Singh Cassidy, a former Google and StubHub executive based in Silicon Valley. She emphasized Xero's AI strategy, stating, "we're going to be a net beneficiary."

She also noted, "The market's reaction to SaaS companies being completely undifferentiated…that's a moment of challenge," highlighting the competitive landscape and the need for differentiation in the software sector.
