Shares in Vestas Wind Systems jumped after the Danish wind-turbine maker posted higher second-quarter earnings and improving profitability, which enabled the company to increase its full-year margin guidance. In early morning trade, shares rose 18.5% to 209.9 Danish kroner, bringing the year-to-date gain to 21%. The strong performance marked what J.P. Morgan analysts described as potentially the best quarterly print in several years, noting it is also the first time in a decade that Vestas has upgraded its full-year margin guidance alongside first-half results.

The earnings growth was accompanied by a 400-million-euro share buyback, equivalent to $461.7 million, further supporting investor confidence. Across all divisions, the company beat consensus expectations, reflecting robust demand and operational efficiency improvements.

Analysts highlighted that the margin upgrade signals a turning point for the renewable energy sector, as supply chain pressures ease and production scales increase. The combination of higher earnings, improved guidance, and capital returns has repositioned Vestas as a bellwether for wind energy stocks, with investors closely watching future quarters for sustained momentum.
