The U.S. is pouring billions into a push to end the country’s dependence on China for critical minerals, sparking a wave of interest among mining firms. This massive federal commitment is part of a broader strategy to secure domestic supply chains.

Amid this boom, a parade of companies is redefining themselves with red, white and blue branding, hoping to signal patriotism and attract investor attention. The rebranding trend reflects a desire to appear essential to national security.

New entrants carry names like U.S. Critical Minerals, U.S. Critical Metals, and U.S. Critical Materials, while others such as American Critical Minerals and Absolutely Critical Resources have followed suit. These naming conventions create a crowded landscape, with several firms vying for the same patriotic image.

US1 Critical Minerals, headquartered in Australia, owns rights to explore uranium in southern Tanzania but says it aims to focus on the U.S. Its red‑white‑and‑blue website also features the Statue of Liberty and a cowboy‑hated figure striding with a partner through amber waves of grain, a symbolic nod to American heritage.
