Lamb Weston reported a 5.6% rise in net sales, reaching $1.77 billion in its fiscal fourth quarter, driven by volume growth in North America that helped offset cost inflation and geopolitical volatility affecting international markets.

Net income for the quarter ended May 31 was $109.6 million, or 79 cents per share, down from $119.9 million and 85 cents a share in the same period a year earlier. After stripping one‑time items, earnings were 87 cents a share, beating Fact Set’s 63‑cent estimate.

Analysts noted that the company’s robust domestic demand, combined with steady pricing, enabled it to surpass Wall Street models, which projected net sales of $1.7 billion.

Overall, Lamb Weston’s performance illustrates how strong North American volumes can cushion a company against global headwinds, delivering solid profitability while navigating rising costs.

Looking ahead, management anticipates continued growth in the U.S. market, while maintaining a focus on supply chain efficiency and product innovation to sustain momentum and shareholder returns.
