Multiple women at defense contractor L3Harris Technologies had raised concerns about CEO Chris Kubasik's behavior years before his ouster, including warnings to avoid being alone with him and be careful on the corporate jet, according to people familiar with the matter.

A formal complaint was made to human resources around 2023 accusing Kubasik of sexual harassment. Kubasik remained in his role while the employee left the company. Not all board members were briefed on the complaint, and it is unclear whether it was formally investigated.

Recently, the board launched a probe into Kubasik after another accusation. Directors hired outside lawyers to investigate allegations of inappropriate conduct with a subordinate and aggressive, profane behavior, people familiar with the board deliberations said.
