Fresenius Medical Care experienced a drop in its share price following the announcement of a further decline in U.S. treatment volumes during the second quarter. The German dialysis provider reported a slight decrease in net profit, falling to 218 million euros ($250.9 million) from 225 million euros a year prior, primarily attributed to foreign-exchange challenges. Despite a 1.4% revenue increase to 4.86 billion euros, analysts highlighted concerns over the 0.9% reduction in U.S. same-market treatment volumes within the company's care-delivery segment.

This segment is crucial as it represents the largest portion of the group's overall revenue. The continued decrease in U.S. treatment volumes is a key point of focus for investors, overshadowing the modest revenue growth and the minor dip in net profit.
