Danone booked a rise in like-for-like sales in the second quarter, bolstered by strong volume growth in the Asia-Pacific region. The French food company behind Activia yogurt and Evian water booked sales growth of 4.2% on a like-for-like basis in the second quarter.

Product volumes grew 1.9%, while pricing was up 2.3% year over year. Analysts had anticipated like-for-like growth of 3.7%, according to company-compiled expectations.
