Church & Dwight, the consumer‑goods company behind well‑known brands such as Arm & Hammer and Trojan, has lifted its full‑year outlook after reporting a robust second‑quarter of organic sales growth. The company says the momentum from its core product lines now supports a more optimistic revenue trajectory.

Previously the firm projected a flat to 1% increase in sales for the year, but had warned of a decline between 0.5% and 1.5%. With the latest data, the company now expects sales to be flat to up 1% across the full fiscal year, a significant turnaround.

Second‑quarter results were stronger than expected, with a profit of $202.8 million or 85 cents a share. This compares to a year‑ago quarter of $191 million and 78 cents per share, reflecting a solid improvement in profitability driven by higher organic demand.

After adjusting for one‑time items, the company’s adjusted earnings per share reached 89 cents, just one cent below the consensus estimate from Fact Set analysts. The firm also raised the floor of its adjusted earnings forecast, signalling confidence in continued earnings growth beyond the current quarter.
