Accident investigators are examining the possibility that a bird strike contributed to a helicopter crash on April 10, 2025, in the Hudson River, which resulted in the deaths of six individuals. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the probe.

During their investigation, NTSB officials discovered bird remains on multiple components of the Bell 206L-4 helicopter wreckage. The aircraft broke apart while in flight near Jersey City, New Jersey.

Documents released from the probe on Thursday detail these findings. Authorities had previously examined rotor blades following the 2025 accident. The investigation is ongoing as officials seek to fully understand the circumstances leading to the tragic event.
