AXA, a French insurer, confirmed its 2026 outlook after posting a 9% rise in net profit at constant currency. Net profit climbed to 4.17 billion euros ($4.81 billion) versus a year earlier, propelled by stronger premium and revenue streams.

First‑half earnings benefited from a 5% increase in gross written premiums and other revenue, reaching 66.29 billion euros. The Life & Health segment saw the fastest premium growth, up 8% YoY to 31.16 billion euros, while Property & Casualty added 3% to 35.07 billion euros.

With the uptick, AXA reaffirmed its financial targets for the period, aiming to hit the upper end of a 6%‑8% underlying earnings growth range and an underlying return on equity of 14%‑16% through 2026.

The results underline AXA’s resilience in a volatile market and its commitment to delivering value for policyholders and investors alike.

Investors and analysts noted that the company's diversified portfolio helped cushion against adverse macroeconomic pressures, while its focus on digital transformation and tailored insurance solutions positions AXA to capture emerging opportunities in both European and global markets.
