The latest Market Talks cover the Auto and Transport sector, highlighting stronger-than-expected results from Maersk. Maersk upgraded its full‑year guidance after underlying Ebitda and the oceans unit beat expectations. The new guidance for underlying Ebitda ranges from $10.5 billion to $12.5 billion, well above the consensus of $8.5 billion. EBIT guidance is now $4.5 billion to $6.5 billion versus a $2.8 billion consensus. Shares rose 6.8% to 18,595 Dkr.

Hapag‑Lloyd also saw freight‑rate gains as higher spot rates and fuel‑price volatility lifted volumes. Management expects demand to fuel growth in 2026, aligning with Maersk's global volume outlook.

Transurban missed FY26 earnings and revenue, pulling its share price 2.7% to A$14.24. Yet FY27 dividend guidance of A$0.72 per share matched expectations and surpassed the FY26 payout of A$0.69. Jefferies analyst Amit Kanwatia noted free‑cash coverage may dip slightly due to M5 West ownership changes, signalling a focus on dividend growth during transition.
