ArcBest Consolidates Brands, Cuts Workforce

ArcBest is set to simplify its brand structure, reduce its workforce by approximately 2%, and consolidate parts of its operating network in a move aimed at enhancing efficiency and profitability. Effective August 1, MoLo Solutions, Panther Premium Logistics, and ArcBest Technologies will all operate under the unified ArcBest brand. The company's less-than-truckload carrier, ABF Freight, will continue to operate under its existing name.

This restructuring is projected to yield significant financial benefits, with the company anticipating approximately $40 million in annualized cost savings. The workforce reduction will be achieved through a combination of layoffs and the elimination of certain open positions. The company stated it will cut about 2% of total positions.

The strategic consolidation is part of ArcBest's ongoing efforts to streamline operations and strengthen its market position within the logistics industry.
