Early Asian trade saw U.S. Treasury yields reverse Thursday's gains after Middle East peace efforts and falling oil prices. The 10-year yield fell 1.4 basis points to 4.648%, while the 30-year declined 1.7 basis points to 5.190%. Brent crude dropped 1.7% to $87.49.

Later, yields rose as investors digested the Federal Reserve's rate hold and Chair Kevin Warsh's communication. The two-year yield climbed 2.7 basis points to 4.256%, the 10-year added 0.8 basis points to 4.669%, and the DXY index rose 0.3% to 100.197. Bas Kooijman of DHF Capital S.A. noted elevated yields could react to energy volatility and policy uncertainty.

Eurozone bonds fell tracking U.S. peers ahead of July inflation data. The German 10-year Bund yield dropped 1.6 basis points to 3.150%. U.K. gilt yields fell 4 basis points to 4.969% as oil prices eased on Middle East de-escalation.

HSBC expects the Treasury to keep nominal coupon and FRN issuance sizes unchanged for a 10th consecutive quarter at its Aug. 5 refunding, with increases now delayed to May 2027.
