Aker Shares Jump After Nscale Wins $45 Billion AI Contract

Aker shares rose over 8% after its portfolio company Nscale secured a $45 billion contract for AI computing power. The deal, with an undisclosed customer, will provide capacity at Nscale's Monarch site in West Virginia, U.S. Nscale, a U.K.-based AI infrastructure provider backed by Nvidia, Dell, Nokia, and Aker, builds and operates data centers. Nokia shares also gained 4.9% in Helsinki trading.

Aker and Nscale have a joint venture, Aker Nscale, collaborating with OpenAI on the renewable energy-powered Stargate Norway data center project. Dominic Chopping writes for the Wall Street Journal.
