Forecasters have issued urgent warnings about critical wildfire weather conditions developing across Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. This alert comes as dozens of fires are already actively burning throughout the region, and the new conditions are expected to accelerate their spread.

The Northwest Interagency Coordination Center (NWCC) monitors these active incidents. According to their definitions, a "Large Fire" is any wildland fire covering 100 acres or more in timbered areas, or 300 acres or more in grasslands and rangelands, or any fire that has an Incident Management Team assigned to it.

Resources are available for the latest wildfire news, maps detailing fire danger and burn bans specifically in Washington state, and an air quality map for the region. Live coverage is also being provided by Q13 News.
