Court documents obtained by lawyers for producer Amanda Ghost and filed Tuesday suggest that actress Rebel Wilson ordered and paid for the creation of anonymous websites disparaging Ghost. According to the documents, Wilson allegedly worked with the same professionals Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of using in his online campaign. Ghost, a Grammy-nominated songwriter behind hits like Beyoncé and Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar,' was a producer of Wilson's directorial debut 'The Deb.' During the film's July 2024 rollout, Wilson publicly accused Ghost and other producers of embezzlement on Instagram.

Ghost sued Wilson for defamation, while Wilson countersued with allegations of embezzlement and sexual misconduct. Offensive websites emerged calling Ghost 'the Indian Ghislaine Maxwell' and a 'con artist.' Wilson's lawyer Allyson Thompson called the motion 'one-sided.' The trial is scheduled for January in Los Angeles.
