A new nonprofit organization, The Global Gene Therapy Initiative (GGTI), is launching a center dedicated to accelerating gene therapy for rare diseases. These conditions, often overlooked by pharmaceutical companies due to limited patient populations, present significant challenges in developing and accessing treatments.

GGTI aims to transform the process of gene therapy from a bespoke, complex undertaking into a more standardized and accessible procedure. By creating a centralized hub, the initiative hopes to reduce the time and cost associated with bringing these life-changing therapies to patients.
