Jackson secured a commanding lead among the 500 county‑selected delegates and the 101 state delegates, with his former allies and labor unions backing‑It. His campaign, backed by 1 million in fundraising, is poised to take the nomination before a brief, intense convention.

However, the swift vetting has sparked criticism. Reports of Jackson’s alleged temper, workplace conduct, mortgage improprieties and past anti‑abortion stance have raised concerns that the state may have chosen an unvetted candidate amid the Platner implosion.
