Boeing reported 314 commercial aircraft deliveries in the first half of 2026, its strongest performance since 2018. This marks a significant recovery, driven largely by the 737 MAX, which accounted for 77% of the total deliveries. The 314 aircraft represent a 12% increase over the same period in 2025.

While still trailing rival Airbus, which delivered 351 aircraft, Boeing's output is accelerating. The 737 MAX program alone has surpassed its predecessor, the 737NG, in total orders, reaching 7,206. Boeing also opened a fourth 737 MAX assembly line in Everett, Washington, aiming to increase production rates.

CEO Kelly Ortberg highlighted improving output and positive feedback on aircraft quality. Despite a minor setback in March due to wiring abrasions on some 737 MAX jets, Boeing maintained its full-year delivery guidance. The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to certify additional MAX variants, the MAX 7 and MAX 10, later in 2026.
