Dutch authorities announced the recovery of a stolen golden helmet and two gold bracelets from a Romanian museum heist. The artifacts, dating back to the fifth century B. C. and valued at 5.7 million euros ($6.6 million), were stolen in January 2025 from the Drents Museum in Assen.

Officials revealed the treasures at a news conference, displaying the helmet, which features elaborate Dacian decorations, and two bracelets. A third stolen bracelet remains missing. The recovery followed an agreement with the accused thieves, though specific terms weren't disclosed.

The helmet sustained light damage but can be restored, while the bracelets were undamaged. The theft involved explosives and targeted the artifacts on loan from Romania's National History Museum. The museum director expressed relief at the recovery, noting the cultural significance of the pieces.

Romanian authorities are continuing the investigation to find the last bracelet.
