JPMorgan initiated coverage of York Space Systems with an Overweight rating and a $39 price target, citing its position as a low-cost supplier of low Earth orbit satellites to the U.S. military and potential demand from missile defense programs. The bank highlighted York's role as a leading provider of satellites to the Space Development Agency, where it has delivered spacecraft faster and at roughly half the average price of competitors, at about $10 million per satellite.

JPMorgan expects incremental funding tied to the Golden Dome missile defense initiative, along with intelligence agency demand, to support a 45% revenue compound annual growth rate through 2028. The company estimates a $140 billion total addressable market, split between Golden Dome, intelligence customers and SDA constellations. The bank noted York's two production facilities have 85 build cells and could eventually support capacity of roughly 1,000 satellites a year.

Goldman Sachs initiated coverage at Neutral with a $29 price target, citing customer concentration, fixed-price contract exposure and limited visibility into future awards. The firm said York's vertically integrated model allows satellites to be produced about 50% cheaper and 20% faster than traditional defense primes, positioning it for growth as the Defense Department shifts toward commercial-style procurement. Goldman noted the company is not yet profitable or cash generative, warranting caution despite long-term growth potential.
