Vertiv shares jumped about 15% in premarket trading Wednesday after the company's fiscal 2026 guidance exceeded market expectations, despite a fourth-quarter earnings miss. The data center infrastructure provider reported fourth-quarter EPS of $1.14, falling short of consensus estimates of $1.30, while revenue rose 23% year over year to $2.88 billion.

For the full year 2026, Vertiv projects EPS of $5.97 to $6.07, ahead of market expectations of $5.33, with revenue guidance of $13.25 billion to $13.75 billion compared to estimates of $12.39 billion. The company expects organic sales growth of 27% to 29% for the year, with adjusted operating profit projected between $2.98 billion and $3.10 billion. Operating cash flow totaled $1.01 billion in the fourth quarter, while adjusted free cash flow reached $910 million, up 136% and 151% respectively from the prior year.

Vertiv's strong outlook reflects continued demand for data center infrastructure amid AI and cloud computing growth. The company expects first-quarter 2026 EPS of $0.95 to $1.01 and revenue between $2.5 billion and $2.7 billion. While the fourth-quarter profit miss raised some concerns, investors focused on the robust full-year guidance, driving the significant premarket rally.
