Ubisoft Q3 Bookings Beat as Assassin's Creed Drives Growth

Ubisoft reported third-quarter net bookings of €338 million ($402 million), exceeding analyst expectations with a 12% year-over-year increase. The French gaming giant's performance was driven by the enduring popularity of its Assassin's Creed franchise and the successful launch of Anno 117: Pax Romana. The results surpassed the company's own upwardly revised guidance for the period.

Beyond sales figures, Ubisoft is implementing a significant structural overhaul involving the creation of specialized 'Creative Houses' and a voluntary departure plan at its French headquarters. The reorganization aims to reduce headcount by 200 positions while sharpening focus and accelerating decision-making. CEO Yves Guillemot emphasized that the transformation is designed to elevate the company's creative ambition in an increasingly selective market.

The publisher confirmed its 2025-26 financial targets and highlighted sufficient liquidity to address upcoming debt maturities. Looking to expand its mobile presence, Ubisoft plans to release Rainbow Six Mobile globally in late February. The company recently strengthened its balance sheet through a €1.16 billion investment from Tencent into its Vantage Studios division, positioning it for continued growth across its core franchises.
