The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG NAV) shares fell 5.2% on Monday, driven by a sharper-than-expected 5.7 pence per share drop in net asset value (NAV) to 104 pence. This decline reflects lower power price forecasts and rising discount rates for UK offshore wind assets, pressuring the renewable energy investment trust. TRIG reported a 3.7% negative annual total NAV return for 2025, primarily due to a 1.8 pence per share hit from lower consultant revenue forecasts and a 1.2 pence reduction from a 50 basis point increase in UK offshore wind discount rates. TRIG NAV also faced a 0.6 pence per share reduction from changes to UK Renewables Obligation Certificate (ROC) indexation.
