Intuit and Anthropic have announced a multi-year partnership to bring customizable AI agents to mid-market businesses. The collaboration will enable companies to build secure, accurate AI agents using Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK on Intuit's platform, regardless of technical expertise.

Intuit shares jumped more than 4% in premarket trading following the announcement. The stock has declined approximately 45% year-to-date amid broader software-sector concerns about generative AI disruption. The partnership will surface Intuit's tax, accounting, finance, and marketing capabilities directly inside Anthropic products like Cowork and Claude for Enterprise through MCP integrations with TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp.

The integration aims to help businesses generate insights from financial and operational data while enabling consumers to access Intuit services within Anthropic's ecosystem. Anthropic's Paul Smith emphasized that the combination will allow customers to create AI agents aligned with their workflows and regulatory requirements. Intuit CTO Alex Balazs called it a "groundbreaking partnership" that will unlock customized benefits for every consumer and business.
