Games Workshop Group PLC reported a standout half-year performance, with core revenue surging 17.3% to £316.1 million. This impressive growth, achieved over the 26 weeks ending November 30, 2025, underscores the company's resilience and expanding market presence. Profit before taxation rose to £140.8 million, up from £126.8 million in the same period last year, while earnings per share climbed to 319.9p from 288.9p.

Core operating profit jumped 28.5% to £126.1 million, driven by robust sales growth across all channels. Trade sales saw the most significant increase, soaring 25.2%, while Retail and Online sales grew by 5.4% and 4.0% respectively. The company's gross margin improved from 67.5% to 69.4%, effectively offsetting the impact of new tariffs through manufacturing efficiencies and favorable material costs.

Despite a decline in licensing revenue to £16.0 million from £30.1 million, primarily due to lower royalty income following the launch of Space Marine 2, the company's performance remains strong. Games Workshop declared dividends of 225p per share, up from 185p per share in the comparable period last year. CEO Kevin Rountree attributed the success to staff, customers, and stakeholders, noting that core sales for December 2025 were slightly ahead of the previous year. The company continues its global expansion, opening 17 new stores and closing 12, bringing its total store count to 575.

Additionally, progress is being made on the construction of its fourth factory in Nottingham, scheduled for completion in summer 2026. This expansion reflects Games Workshop's commitment to growing its retail footprint and enhancing production capabilities.
