Daimler Truck reported a challenging 2025, with unit sales falling 8% to 422,510 vehicles. The decline was driven by a steep 26% drop in North America, where difficult market conditions hit the company's largest segment. The region sold 141,814 units, down sharply from 190,727 in 2024.

While North America struggled, other regions showed resilience. Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Europe posted nearly flat full-year sales, and Trucks Asia saw a 4% increase. The company also highlighted strong growth in battery-electric vehicles, with deliveries surging 67% to 6,726 units, signaling a push toward electrification despite broader market headwinds.

The fourth quarter offered a slight reprieve, marking Daimler Truck's strongest sales period of the year, though still down 5% annually. The performance underscores the cyclical nature of the commercial vehicle sector, which is sensitive to freight demand and economic indicators. Investors will watch for signs of a North American recovery in 2026.
