CSL has appointed Gordon Naylor as its interim chief executive and managing director, replacing outgoing CEO Paul McKenzie who will retire immediately. Naylor, a company veteran with over 30 years of experience, rejoins CSL after serving as a non-executive director since December. He previously led CSL's formation of its three core businesses: Behring, Plasma, and Seqirus.

McKenzie's departure follows nearly three years in the role; he had earlier served as CSL's chief operating officer. Naylor will remain in the interim role until the board identifies a permanent successor. This leadership change comes as CSL, a major Australian biopharmaceutical company, navigates its operations and future strategy.

Naylor's deep institutional knowledge positions him to guide the company during this transition period.
