ASR Nederland reported a significant improvement in its Solvency II ratio to 218% for FY25, a substantial rise from 198% the previous year, even as its net profit fell sharply by 42.8% to €548 million. The insurer attributed this capital strength boost to €1.32 billion in organic capital creation and the approval of its Partial Internal Model for life operations, which contributed roughly 12 percentage points to the overall ratio. Operating earnings, however, increased 11.9% to €1.64 billion, exceeding the company's target.

The net profit decline reflected negative investment and finance revaluations driven by interest-rate movements and non-operating adjustments. ASR also proposed a 9.3% increase in its FY25 dividend to €3.41 per share and launched a new €175 million share buyback programme.
