Zuber Issa’s EG On The Move is expanding its U.K. petrol station network with the acquisition of 85 forecourts previously owned by the collapsed Prax Group. This latest deal accelerates Issa's strategy to build a significant retail fuel business since launching EG On The Move in 2023.

The acquired sites are managed by independent operators, and EG On The Move plans further investment to enhance their competitiveness. The purchase brings Issa’s total U.K. forecourt count to approximately 285 sites, following earlier acquisitions from EG Group and Applegreen.

Issa aims to replicate the success of EG Group by aggressively acquiring locations, integrating convenience stores, and securing franchise agreements with brands like Starbucks and Subway. This expansion follows the demise of Prax Group, an oil conglomerate founded in 1999. Meanwhile, EG Group, which Issa co-founded and still partially owns, recently filed for a $9 billion U.S. IPO.
