The ranking aims to showcase organizations that expanded despite national economic struggles, with results published in October 2026 across FT platforms.

Against a backdrop of economic challenges including pandemic aftershocks, energy price volatility, and political uncertainty, this ranking highlights enterprises that maintained growth trajectories. The FT has conducted similar regional rankings globally for a decade, but this marks the first comprehensive assessment of high-performing UK businesses during these turbulent times.

Companies based anywhere in the UK can register for consideration, with registrations closing on July 15, 2026. Businesses with three or fewer employees face additional verification requirements for revenue figures. The final ranking will appear in a special FT report alongside analysis of growth trends observed among these successful enterprises.
