Nvidia's $500bn AI Financing Deal

Nvidia has partnered with six major private capital firms to raise over $500bn for AI infrastructure development, marking one of Wall Street's most ambitious financing plans. The collaboration includes Apollo, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR, aiming to fund Nvidia's AI ecosystem including frontier labs, enterprises, and AI clouds through dedicated compute financing platforms.

The deal reflects how tech giants are increasingly turning to private capital rather than public markets to fund massive AI build-out costs projected to exceed $8tn. As part of the arrangement, Nvidia may provide residual-value support for up to 25% of financed project values, helping unlock returns beyond traditional investment-grade bonds.

Meanwhile, Italy's corporate landscape faces ongoing turmoil as Leonardo Del Vecchio's family remains deadlocked over controlling the €55bn Delfin holding company. Despite equal stakes among his six children and widow, disagreements over dividends and strategy have paralyzed decision-making since the billionaire's 2022 death.

The UAE has successfully rebuilt its Washington relationships after the 2006 DP World port controversy, leveraging $1.7tn in sovereign wealth investments. Entities like Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed's MGX have made major tech investments including 15% of TikTok and partnerships with OpenAI.
