Nvidia has revealed it holds a substantial stake in SpaceX, owning nearly 123mn shares valued at approximately $21bn as of June. This disclosure underscores Nvidia's intricate financial ties with major customers in the rapidly expanding AI sector.

Following SpaceX's initial public offering, the value of Nvidia's stake has seen a slight decrease to $17bn. This investment represents a significant return on Nvidia's January investment in x AI, which was later merged with SpaceX. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has strategically leveraged the company's financial power to build complex relationships across the AI industry.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has emphasized an exclusive partnership with Nvidia for its data centers, citing the superiority of Nvidia's AI computing architecture. Nvidia has committed over $100bn to AI companies and startups, including significant investments in cloud computing firms and AI labs. The company also plans to help finance its customers through a consortium of investors, partially guaranteeing loans backed by its chip value.
