Linklaters equity partners received a record £2.5mn each after pre‑tax profits rose 11.6% to £1.2bn, lifting average profit per partner by about £300,000. Managing partner Paul Lewis said Hong Kong listings “knocked it out of the park,” with the firm advising on four of the top ten IPOs in 2025 and on EQT’s $15.6bn Asia‑Pacific private‑equity fund.

US profits surged 39% and the firm hired a litigation team from Paul Weiss, bringing in advisers to FIFA. The move intensifies competition with Freshfields, A&O Shearman (which reported £2.2mn per partner) and Clifford Chance for share of the world’s largest legal market.

Global revenues grew 6.8% to nearly £2.5bn. The UK business grew 7%, highlighted by advising the UK government on the £38bn Sizewell C nuclear project and handling Unilever’s demerger of Magnum Ice Cream Company and its subsequent listings in London, Amsterdam and New York.
