Higgsfield, an AI video generation platform, raised $400mn at a $5.4bn valuation from investors including DST Global, Goldman Sachs, Liberty Global and Intel, as the two‑year‑old start‑up expands corporate subscriptions. The round follows an $80mn raise eight months earlier at a $1.3bn valuation, as adoption by businesses grew. The platform, launched in 2025, hit $700mn in annualized revenue in August, up from $20mn a year earlier, and now serves over 30mn users across 238 countries, with the US as its biggest market.

Founder Alex Mashrabov, a former Snap executive, said the new capital will accelerate the move upmarket, noting that business revenue now dominates compared with less than 25% in January. He highlighted the shift from consumer entertainment to corporate marketing, citing examples such as Dollar Shave Club building AI‑driven systems that produce multiple videos daily using Higgsfield. The technology aims to cut creative costs and enable rapid content turnover.

The investment round also includes Tribe Capital, Smash Capital, Fifth Wall, Valor Capital, Liberty Global Tech Ventures, Mirae Asset Capital and NTT DOCOMO Ventures, with Goldman Sachs deploying funds through its Equity Growth vehicle. Mashrabov emphasized compute reservations to ensure best‑in‑class service, while acknowledging concerns in Hollywood about AI’s impact on creative jobs. Overall, Higgsfield is positioning itself at the nexus of social media marketing, entertainment and the creator economy.
