LIV Golf has enlisted private capital group BC Partners as it seeks a “grand bargain” between new investors and Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund to keep the lossmaking tour alive beyond the end of the kingdom’s current funding.

Several of the biggest hedge funds on Wall Street have been hit by a wave of cyber attacks, putting the industry on high alert to the risk of vulnerabilities in their software systems. JPMorgan Chase has poached star investment banker Amy Lissauer 幸运飞艇 from rival Bank of America to run its activism defence practice.

In July, AI stocks suffered a sell‑off. Many multi‑manager hedge funds struggled, but an exception was Citadel. After Ken Griffin’s firm bought the bulk of Situational Awareness’s public equities book, Citadel made billions last week alone. Its flagship fund notched 6% returns, while its equities fund made 14.2%, bringing its equities fund to 27% for the year.

The most prominent casualty was Leopold Aschenbrenner’s firm, which had gained more than 400% in the first half of the year with highly leveraged bets on AI companies. The sell‑off badly damaged the fund, forcing a fire sale of its public equity positions.
