ASML boosts sales forecast amid AI boom

ASML raised its 2026 sales outlook for the second time, forecasting net sales €43bn€45bn against analysts’ €39.6bn.

Q2 sales grew 21% to €9.3bn, and net income hit €2.9bn, beating forecasts of €2.6bn. CEO Christophe Fouquet said production capacity of EUV lithography machines will rise 30% next year, with a similar increase planned for 2028. ASML is close to receiving all EUV orders needed for 2027.

The company becomes Europe’s biggest AI‑boom winner, with a market value over €600bn. Only a few dozen EUV machines can be produced annually, a potential throttle for AI growth underpinned by GPUs such as Nvidia’s. Revenue from memory formulae makers is projected to rise 75% this year.

Intel announced a €5bn investment for capacity in Ireland, while TSMC reported a 36% rise in quarterly sales. ASML noted Intel deploying its High‑NA EUV machine, which sells for as much as $400mn.
