Appeals Court Revives Tylenol Autism Lawsuits

A US Court of Appeals in New York has revived lawsuits against Kenvue, the maker of Tylenol, after a lower court wrongly excluded expert witnesses. The panel said the district court must allow the experts to testify, while still upholding exclusions for two others. This decision gives a boost to class‑action lawyers who cited a warning from President Donald Trump and health‑seeker Robert F Kennedy Jr. that Tylenol could cause autism.

Shares in Kenvue fell about 1 % on the news, following a year‑ago drop of 12 % after the White House comment. Kenvue maintains that independent science shows no proven link between acetaminophen and autism or ADHD. The case remains a developing story as the court’s ruling could affect future litigation over the pain‑relief drug.
