Zurich Insurance Group AG reported a 13% gain in profit for the first half of 2026 as it saw accelerating demand across all businesses, boosted by global data center and energy infrastructure demand.

The Swiss insurer's earnings growth reflects expanding commercial property and specialty lines as companies invest heavily in digital infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Chief Executive Officer Mario Greco highlighted that pricing discipline and underwriting improvements contributed to the strong performance.

Property and casualty premiums rose across key markets including North America and Europe, while the farmers segment benefited from favorable crop conditions. Investment income also improved amid higher interest rates.

Analysts noted the results demonstrate Zurich's resilience in a volatile macroeconomic environment, with the data center boom providing a structural tailwind for commercial insurance lines.
