Vietnam's richest man Pham Nhat Vuong has reshaped the leadership of his EV taxi company Green & Smart Mobility JSC, appointing his wife Pham Thu Huong as chairwoman. The move comes as the ride-hailing operator, known domestically as Xanh SM, prepares for what could be a transformative international initial public offering with a potential valuation of $20 billion.

GSM operates exclusively with electric vehicles manufactured by Vuong's VinFast Auto Ltd., positioning itself as a leader in Vietnam's transitioning mobility market. The company has aggressively expanded beyond Vietnam into Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with plans to enter India where VinFast recently established manufacturing facilities.

Vuong maintains 95% ownership of GSM while appointing Phan Thanh Long to continue as CEO. The leadership restructuring suggests Vuong is positioning his family at the helm of a key business venture as he seeks to capitalize on global EV adoption trends and Southeast Asia's growing ride-hailing market.
