South Africa will likely reap the smallest wheat crop since 2019 this year, with a government body expecting output to drop 7.5% from a year earlier. Farmers will probably harvest 1.76 million tons of the grain in 2026, the Crop Estimates Committee said in its first forecast for the season released Wednesday. That compares with 1.91 million tons in 2025.
