KNDS NV is set to restart investor meetings about a possible initial public offering this year, people familiar with the matter said, after a downturn in defense stocks thwarted its plans for a listing earlier in the summer. The Franco-German tankmaker is considering relaunching an IPO as soon as the second half of September, according to the people. Meetings to update investors on the company’s progress are set for next week, they said.

The company exhibited armored vehicles at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition in London, as photographed by Jose Sarmento Matos/Bloomberg. The potential IPO restart follows a period where defense stocks faced headwinds, impacting the initial timeline.

KNDS, a joint venture between Germany's Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and France's Nexter, is known for producing tanks like the Leopard 2. A successful IPO would provide fresh capital for expansion and product development.

The meetings next week will be crucial for gauging investor interest and market conditions. The company aims to proceed with the listing if the sentiment remains favorable, with a potential launch as early as September.
