SLB, the world's largest oil field service provider, has agreed to partner with Liberty Energy Inc. to provide modular parts and power for data centers, the latest example of energy companies positioning themselves to benefit from the artificial intelligence boom.

Through the agreement, SLB will design and provide prefabricated parts, and Liberty will supply natural gas-fired power generation to develop data centers globally, according to people familiar with matter.

The partnership reflects growing demand for reliable power infrastructure as AI workloads drive data center expansion worldwide.

Both companies aim to leverage their energy expertise to capture a share of the rapidly growing data center market.
