The delay was reported by market intelligence firm IIR Energy, which tracks refinery operations. The attack occurred over the weekend, prompting the company to reassess the timeline for bringing the plant back online.

The Jazan refinery is a key asset for Saudi Aramco, and any extended shutdown could impact regional fuel supplies. IIR Energy noted that the restart had originally been expected earlier, but the security incident forced a new schedule. Saudi Aramco has not publicly commented on the attack or the revised restart date.

The facility is located in southwestern Saudi Arabia near the Red Sea port of Jazan.
